| Thallus yellowish to olive-green, lacking pseudocyphellae, corticate. Ascomata occasionally solitary, but usually in groups of 2–7 with fused ostioles, flask-shaped, erumpent from the substratum, mostly covered by the thallus, occasionally completely exposed, c. 0.5–1.0 mm diam. Ascomatal wall with crystals, to 100 μm thick; ostiole lateral, pale. Hamathecium not inspersed with oil droplets, IKI+ orange. Ascospores 8 per ascus, irregularly uniseriate, grey to brown, muriform, with c. 8 rows of c. 3–8 locules, fusiform, with rounded ends, 35–45 ´ 12–18 μm; lumina rounded to somewhat angular. CHEMISTRY: No substances detected. |

| Apparently rare in north-eastern Qld; an earlier record from N.S.W. proved to be erroneous. Pantropical, mostly in lowland forest. | ||
